Jennifer Maiden
Jennifer Maiden was born in Penrith, NSW, in 1949. She is married with a twelve year old daughter. Thirteen of her poetry collections (one including short stories) and two of her novels have been published. She has completed another novel and is working on a book of essays. She has won both the NSW and Victorian Premier's Prizes for poetry and many other awards. She has been Writer in Residence at the ANU, UWS, Springwood High School and the NSW Torture and Trauma Rehabilitation Service. Her novel Play With Knives has been translated and published by dtv in Germany and is currently under US film option. In February, 1999, she was awarded the FAW Christopher Brennan prize for a lifetime of achievement in literature.
